Overview
2GoDeals is a price-comparison tool. We do not collect, store, or sell personal information. You do not create an account, and we do not know who you are.
What we collect
- Search queries — the product names you search for, stored anonymously to improve relevance.
- Buy-click events — when you tap a "Buy" button, we record which merchant, price tier, and region — with no link to any individual.
- Approximate region — derived from your IP address at request time to show relevant local prices. We do not store your IP address.
- Session ID — a random string stored in your browser's session storage (cleared when you close the tab) used only to group events within a single visit. It is never tied to a name, email, or device.
What we do not collect
- Name, email address, phone number, or any contact information
- Device identifiers or advertising IDs
- Browsing history outside of 2GoDeals
- Payment or financial information (all purchases happen on third-party sites)
- Location beyond approximate country/region derived from IP
Cookies
2GoDeals does not use persistent cookies. We use browser session storage (not cookies) solely for in-session UX purposes. Session storage is automatically cleared when you close the browser tab.
Affiliate links
When you click a "Buy" button, you are taken to a third-party retailer (Amazon, eBay, and others). These links may include affiliate tracking codes that allow us to earn a small commission if you make a purchase — at no extra cost to you. The third-party retailer's own privacy policy applies once you leave 2GoDeals. We recommend reviewing their policies before completing any purchase.
Third-party services
- Supabase — stores anonymous analytics events (search terms, click counts). No personal data is sent.
- eBay Partner Network / AliExpress Affiliate Program — affiliate tracking through outbound links. No data is shared with these services beyond the standard HTTP referrer.
- ipapi.co — used once per session to determine approximate country for pricing. We do not store the result or your IP.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics events (query text and click counts) are retained indefinitely for aggregate analysis. No event is linked to any individual or device. Session storage data is erased when you close the tab.
Children
2GoDeals is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
